ESTO QUE NOS ESTA PASANDO AHORA

The piece is born from the mixture of physical languages such as theater, contemporary dance, breaking and acrobatics, in pursuit of thecreation of a dramaturgical imaginary. Its aesthetic proposes elements from a past era, gloomy and ghostly, although with a bit of humor, reminiscent of silent movies. The staging is sober and minimalist, which facilitates the possibility of adapting the work to various spaces, whether conventional or not, to perform both day and night shows. It is a show suitable for all audiences.

As emerging artists, this is a very important opportunity to start expanding the boundaries of our work and try to approach new public and people to work with. We are interested in generate a cultural exchange through art, learning different points of view about the artistic practice. We believe that it is our responsability to participate in spaces like this to make visible the work of latinoamerican freelance artists.

MONUMENTS IN MOTION

Monuments in Motion is a territorial performance where performers and spectators advance together in the task of constructing an act of memory. The path comes with an audio guide that contains testimonies of the people who inhabit the territory. A group of performers intervenes the public space in the question of what kind of monuments represent us today as a society, so the audience is part of a process of “antimonumentalization”. The project tries to decolonize the idea of memory and memorial, accentuating the idea that the space of memory is the man and not the monument.

Monuments in Motion is an international project that has been developed for five years. Up to the present it has been presented in the cities of Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Santiago de Chile, Valparaíso, Constitución, Lisbon, Moscow and St. Petersburg. For its realization, it works in cooperation with numerous public and private cultural entities. Has participated in international markets such as MAPAS, FIBA Market (Buenos Aires International Festival), MICA (Cultural Industrial Market). It is a project that brings contemporary dance to a wider audience and helps to expand the notions of what we consider contemporary dance and performance, promoting the struggle and defense of human rights with the aim of preventing the crimes that occurred in the past from happening again.

SILENT PORTRAIT ON SOUND BACKGROUND

At this moment, with the support of IBERESCENA, 2021-2022, she is realiziing the project Tentacles will grow us! Ecosomatic Artistic Resi(st)(d)ence for Catastrophic Times. A creation project in residence with the Somatic Latinamerican Front – Marisol Salinas, (Paraguay), Laura Ríos (Mexico), Karen Langevin (Puerto Rico). “Silent portraits on sound background” a theater-dance work. It is a poetic work that does not tell a story, tells many stories; not for a while, no refers to a place: they are instants, moments that share a rhythm, a sound of the world that evokes another recognizable and identifiable scene. They expose themselves in intensities, build a liturgy of movements, pictures composed and decomposed that evoke love, fantasies, violence, storms Dressed, naked, veiled, subtle, coarse. They dance, they live on stage.Their clothes, their skins, their bodies mutate into a dream that unfolds the game of masks that reconstructs a recognizable image, close and strange at the same time.

I’m not a conventional artist, because I investigate and create in a transdisciplinary way (on the axes of the body, movement, identities and sexualities, migration, environment) in devices that articulate philosophy, psychoanalysis, cultural studies, ethnography with the performing arts and somatic practices sexualities. -I used to work in a limit situation not only with the methods and themes, but also because I am interested in diversity in a broad sense, that is why I choose to work with people with and without an artistic background, from different cultural communities, and of different ages. -My pieces or performances includes the improvisation and make the audience the protagonist of the play. As a Latin American, I am used to working with low resources, which is why creativity, sensitivity, and a bond with others – a sense of community – are the foundation of my creations.

IN SHARED SPACES Choreographic performance Where a system of web cameras connect two stages with live audiences separated geographically. One node in Austria, where a dancer and a cellist share a stage and another node in Argentina, featuring two dancers and a musician playing the bandoneon and the piano. It fuses the celebration of the meeting of present bodies with those which approach through the cyber space. Focusing on the female aspect of the tango embrace, it emphasizes the subtleties of sensual traits while playing with the traditional icons in a fresh manner.

IN THE BODIES This work piece is in progress and will be premiered in 2023.

One of the main reasons, we consider, is the artistic quality given by professionals with vast experience in contemporary dance, Tango and music.
Another reason is the richness that the intersection between artists from different regions and cultures brings to the matrix of Ibero-American belonging.
The third reason is the singularity and originality given by the innovation in the use of technology and audiovisual language in the performing arts, as well as the particular treatment that is done on the gender perspective.

UNANochedeBaile

The theme of the piece is the relationship between dance and different discourses about the body. An exploration of the relationship between contemporary, social and folk dance. Who dances in cities? What styles do they dance? In which places and contexts do they dance? Many types of celebration occur in a city and dancing is at the heart of each one. UNANochedeBaile poses new relationships that, far from erasing the established imprints of styles, mixtures and traditions, creates new possibilities of coexistence.

Experience in the artistic dance field.
