LAND WITHOUT EVIL

Land without evil (Tierra Sin Mal) is a place accessible to the living, a place where Without going through the test of death one could go body and soul. Land Without Evil is a privileged place, indestructible, where the earth produces its fruits by itself and where there is no death. Tierra sin mal is a meeting of cultures, people, ways of life, and lives and builds its own culture according to your own daily experience. Art is the vehicle that determines the encounter: theater, dance, music, and manual arts. Return to the utopian environment of craftsmanship, to the state of craftsmanship, a life of craftsmanship, and find one’s own roots.

The primitive (Primigenio) Method: It consists of the application of the laboratory process and personal research, in an anthropological, aesthetic sense, based on the ancient techniques and disciplines of the East (Bali. China. Indonesia, Japan). The voice: The sonorization is worked instead of the Vocalization. Body encoding and decoding lies in the iconography of movement (positions, gestures, transitions)

EL ÚLTIMO ALETEO DE ANDREA

“El último aleteo de Andrea” is A work that rests at the border of the performative and the political. It is a strong historical and social commentary that allows the audience to encounter a slice of Latin American political, social, and cultural history through the embodiment of one woman’s tragic quest for survival. It tells the story of Andrea Marquez, a woman in El Mozote, El Salvador, who managed to escape the massacre inflicted by the Salvadoran army on that community in 1982. The story of her courage and endurance moves this dance.

Four decades of continuous dedication to creating, performing, and directing dance work, being also a pioneer of somatics education in my country and introducing it in creative research. Dedication to networking and building bridges among colleagues of different latitudes in Latin America, Europe, and the United States. Relevance of thematics of my work for Latin American cultures, politics, and gender, always relating those themes with communities.
